5 Ways to Master Your Brand & Hustle.

So many of us are wandering why we get online and we can get it to work like all the other people making money while they are sleep.  Well, my husband recently said something that struck my mind like crazy and it made a lot of since! He said:

He said it’s no longer about how great your skills are but how much work you put in. She Who Puts in the Most Work Wins.

At first I just took it like another conversation we normally have but this time I really thought about was he said and dissected the hell out of it.

You see what he said made so much since. There are so many people online trying to build a business or launch a brand and failing. But Why? Because they are not putting in the work.

Nowadays it's easy to put up a website, set up an email list and offer your product. And that's the problem.  It's not that easy anymore because EVERYBODY is online.

Many people are playing business.

So that means the few who take their business brand serious with great visual graphics, consistent valuable content and continue to show up on a regular basis wins!

You have to be willing to work harder than everybody else. Most importantly you have to actually be providing real value to make someone want to come back, share or buy what your shit.

Here are some ideas you can use to master your brand & hustle:

- Be productive and not Busy. Create a schedule of when you will actually create content for your audience and stick to it. Remember your audience is expecting to hear from you on your topic.

-Become visually Attractive. Use clean images, lots of white space and cohesive branding throughout your marketing efforts.

-Share Business Goals. Set a socially announced goal.  Meaning, announce to your audience an exact date that your program, training, ebook or video will be released. This will hold you accountable and it could potentially have a waitlist of buyers or new followers to your brand. This will make your audience feel apart of your brand culture and mission.

-Use Tangible Gifts. If you plan on blogging or doing a video training or workshop be sure to include some free gifts to go along with it like a downloadable template, checklist or resource guide. Trust me when I say that with the ever increasing use of the internet, people aren't getting a lot of personal experiences anymore. So your audience is going to love the fact that they cannot only read or listen to your information online but have a tangible object to use along with it.

-Master Your Copy. Take time to really research and understand your ideal squads feelings, fears, struggles and pains. When you understand exactly where they are and where they want to be it makes it easier for you spark their interest in your copywriting (the words you use).  Speaking your Ideal clients language is so important. Copy is used on your website, banners, online ads, business cards, sales pages, ebooks, online programs, online buttons, emails and so many other places. You want your ideal squad to immediately identify that they need you. When you do this you master the art of connection. Your ideal squad will feel that know one else connects with them better than you. Mastering speaking your audiences language show that you care.

So now I want to here from you!

My 2016 Goals and Resolutions + A Free PDF Funsheet for You!

Since I was little my dad use to fuss at me for always having pen, paper and a bag with me. He use to call me a bag lady!  To this day I have to always have to always be prepared with some kind of notebook and pen in my possession to write down my thoughts, dreams, goals and ideas.

The difference is now I understand that Goals without and executable blueprint and implementation are meaningless.

For the last year I have been able to create intentional success in my life but I didn't realize it.  I have been inspired by Stefan Pylarinos to publicly announce my goals for this year.

My theme for the year is: Implement the Foundation for Freedom.

Your mind is a power source and your intentions can be easily interrupted by life situations, circumstances, fears and thoughts.  Trust me I know.  Here I was at the end of 2015 about to launch my new program and I allowed fear of my current situation to cause procrastination and push my launch back.  What I realized after that was one: tomorrow is not promised and two: Life can easily distract you.  I had no excuse but to say my health was in jeopardy but that should've have been another motivation to get me to go through with my plans.  You see all of my goals are set around my ideal lifestyle to continue to homeschool my 6 year old daughter and 12 year old son without having to clock in everyday into a 9 to 5.  When you start a business your success is determined by your efforts and the time you put in.

When a person has a job their "boss" or "manager" holds them accountable regardless if they are sick or healthy.  There are daily, weekly and monthly goals you are expected to achieve or strive for and guess what, there are companies who will definitely let yo' ass go if you don't achieve those goals.

So let me ask you a question:  How come we don't treat our business like our jobs and give it the same respect, we'll because we think that we have tomorrow.  When you are at a job you sit down in boring ass weekly meetings to keep you accountable and show your progress to the companies goals.

And guess what, you wake up everyday at the crack of dawn, rushing in traffic, scared to get wrote up by your manager, your hustle to meet goals and deadlines and go home to do it again tomorrow without an excuse.

If your job believes it is important to plan your success why don't you think it's important to plan for your own personal and business success?

Before I continue to rant, let me share my goals and I have a special gift for you at the end of this post.  I hope you enjoy!

Create a Stand Out Brand as an Amateur.

Have you ever wandered how other people have such great looking brands?

Creating a brand that attracts your ideal clients, customers and consumers is getting to be the most forgotten about "must haves" for today's entrepreneurial businesses.

Just think, your brand can be seen on many different platforms, globally.  You want to be the brand that people recognize as soon as they see your logo, an image or a brand color.

Today I'm going to share 4 secrets you can use to create a cohesive brand thats recognizable and profitable.

  • Your Brand Colors
  • Brand Fonts
  • Brand Images
  • Brand Elements

Your Brand Colors

When choosing brand colors you should always keep your ideal client in mind.  How do your brand colors make them feel, think and react?

For me I like to use colors that feel a little more laid back because it also fits my personality and who I am.  If I had more of a in your face, loud personality then I would probably use brighter colors such as orange, light green or a bold red.

But just like when you meet me in person I want you to have that same experience when you come to my website.

For the most part, my personality is laid back, straight to the point and very calm.  Now I'm definitely not going to lie and say that I never raise my voice or get a little "South Chicago" believe me it can come out.  But that's not who I regularly strive to be on a daily basis and what I want to represent and neither should you.

So anyway, back the point.  One of my favorite tools to find brand colors is Adobe Color.

All you have to do it upload your favorite pictures or images that represent colors you love and it will extract the colors from the photo to create a variety of color schemes.

Just watch the video below and I'll show you how!

Your Brand Fonts

When choosing your brand fonts you want to keep your brand industry in mind.  Canva has an awesome article on choosing fonts based upon your businesses industry you can read on here.

Two of my favorite places to get fonts for my clients and Dafont.com and Myfonts.com.

Your Brand Images

Images can make or break your brands advertising.  Many small business owners do not understand the psychology of choosing the right images to represent your brand.

For Example: Your Target audience are car buyers

People are taught to address your audiences pains, fears and feelings but what the don't show you is how to address them visually.

Yes, when we look at image A it is addressing our target markets frustrations, fears, worries and stress because of have a non-working vehicle.  But when someone that is tired of dealing with vehicles that keep going down and is causing them to spend extra money every month, they no longer want to feel this way.

So even though Image A does address how your audience feels, it also causes them to shy away from clicking this image because of the fears they have about being in this situation.

When they see this image, they associate it with pain.

Now let's look at Image B.  In image B we have a women driving happy with keys in her hand.  She doesn't appear to be stuck on the road or frustrated.  This image addresses where your audience wants to be.

And this is where small business owners get stuck.

Visually you want to create the reality of what makes your audience have peace of mind, happiness and no-stress.  Remember your audience is already stuck somewhere but you want to show them the way out and how it looks and feels to be relieved of their situation or circumstance.

Your Brand Elements

Even if you are not a professional designer there are ways you can make your brand stand out without designing something from scratch.

Even as a pro designer, I use tools to simply my work efforts and time by using pre-made elements such as patterns, shapes, photos, mock-ups and more that you can find at CreativeMarket.com.

Creative Market.com is an online marketplace filled with downloadable templates, tools and design elements.  It's a designers secret and an amateurs gold-mine.

One of my keys to creating amazing design is to Keep Shit Simple.

Always maintain whitespace, try to use no more then 2 styles of fonts and 4 colors.

With these 4 secrets, colors, elements, images and fonts, I'm sure you'll be able to create a cohesive brand ready to stand-out and attract the right ideal clients and customers.

Now in the comments box right below this video, tell me what you feel your brand is lacking.  Are you using all 4 brand assets cohesively?  Are you using different shades of colors in your brand designs.  Are your photos talking to your ideal clients fears and pains or happiness and reliefs?

We'd love to here from you.

As always, I wish you much success and lots of love.
